Lightning McQueen

I was driving in the car with Jax, the radio was on but i couldn't even hear it. Jax said "Turn it up Mum" i said i would in a minute, he said "do it now Mum it's Lightning McQueen's song" I didn't know what he meant so i turned up the radio and low and behold it was Rascal Flatts singing "Life is a Highway" from CARS!!! So, maybe he has watched that movie one to many times!!!
Another funny thing - a few weeks ago Jax kept telling me "I want to go home, home with Dave" i had no idea what he was talking about. Kent's dad's name is Dave so i kept telling him Grandpa wasn't at home, he was at work - thinking he must just be calling him by his first name. He kept saying it and i just started to ignore him............until he was watching Alvin and the Chipmunks and one of the Chipmunks said that same thing. I started laughing so hard!! (This is also the movie he got "Mamacita" from - which is what he now likes to call me!!!)
Jaxon you are so funny!! Love ya!

Hanging out & Birthday dinner

Today we went and hung out with my parents in the afternoon. We just sat outside in the sun, trying to brown ourselves before we go to Lake Powell (less than 2 weeks) Jax loved hanging out with grandpa. He rode his bike, played catch and played with Cooper (Ben's dog).
So cool in his shades! Millie with cooper - she was SO excited

That evening we went with Kent's family to Tepanyaki for Josh's birthday. (Kent's family has a tradition where on your birthday the whole family goes to dinner at the restaurant of your choice) Jaxon loves that place and had so much fun watching the "fire" He loves the noodles so much!
So excited for the cooking to start!Jax's favorite partUsing his chopsticksMillie had great fun watching all the action!

Week in Review

We did a few fun things this week, so i wanted to make sure i got them down before i forgot. On Monday (Memorial Day) we had planned in the morning to work in the yard (it desperately needed it) but we woke up to pouring rain. No yard work today - inside i was thinking YEAH!!! I love waking up to a rainy day. It makes you want to stay in bed all day - apparently the kids didn't have the same idea!! Oh well! So Kent went to work on the hoopde (little car he drives to work) and then we all went up to my Mum & Dad's for a BBQ. We had some delicious food and fun visiting everyone.
Tuesday we hung out at home, jumped on the tramp and had fun being together.
I decided while Kent was at work that i would start to tackle our yard. I got the front mowed & Weed whacked (I didn't get the flower bed weeded) and i got half of the back done and then i made Kent finish when he got home. The mower kept cutting out on me in the back and i figured the grass was too long, apparently the mower just needed gas - hey i never said i was good at the yard work stuff!!
Wednesday i was planning all day to go to Walmart to do some food shopping but never made it. It was one of those days, kids wake up, eat, cry, get tried, want to go back to sleep, wake up again, eat, cry etc etc same old , same old!! Some days bed time never comes soon enough.
On Thursday evening we went to Sam's (Kent's little sister) dance recital. It was the Wizard of Oz and was very cute. Way to go Sam - you did great!!! We took her a rose and Jaxon was so excited to give it to her. When she was on stage he just started waving saying YEAH SAM!! He sure does love his Aunt!!
Jax & Aunt Sam Sam you did a GREAT job!
Jaxon wanted a picture taken by himself, and he just got down into this pose - so cute!!
Millie stayed with Grandma Krupa, since it started at her bed time and i didn't want to spend all my time out in the hall. She was fast asleep when we got back to pick her up. Thanks Grandma K for all you do for us.
Friday i had to work. After we went up to my sisters to switch cars. Her family went to California on Saturday for vacation (Not fair) so she borrowed my van so they had more room. I get to drive her cute little car for the week.
Saturday i had to work again. Jaxon went to Brayden Pay's birthday party - Thanks to Brayden for inviting him. It was his 9th birthday and Jaxon loves to play with him. Jaxon is always going over and ringing their doorbell asking if he can play and Brayden is always so nice and plays with him. It is not often that a nine year old takes the time to play with a 3 year old!!! So thanks again you made Jaxi's day. When i got home i weeded the flower bed in front - in part because we received a notice from the HOA saying we needed to weed and cultivate our flower beds. I was feeling bad about getting the notice, until i heard a few more people had got them also -I felt a bit better knowing i wasn't the only one who didn't have a "PERFECT" yard! So thanks to everyone out there who has weeds, dandelions etc!!
Kent worked all weekend on a side job - fixing 2 semi trucks. He is always working hard, unfortunately they took longer than expected and he ended up having to finish up today! I took both kids to church by myself. I wonder why i do that- it seems more work than it is worth sometimes, but i was very glad i went today. Brother Parker gave a really good lesson in Sunday School and Sister Maxwell gave a wonderful lesson in R/S. Jaxon also had fun in his class - even though he cries every week when i take him, he still ends up having fun. He has 2 great teachers.
This evening we went for a yummy dinner at my Mum & Dad's and then we went to play baseball with Kent's family. It was really fun. Jaxon especially loved it and was plum tuckered out when we got home!!!
So tired after playing baseball.
