Week in Review

We did a few fun things this week, so i wanted to make sure i got them down before i forgot. On Monday (Memorial Day) we had planned in the morning to work in the yard (it desperately needed it) but we woke up to pouring rain. No yard work today - inside i was thinking YEAH!!! I love waking up to a rainy day. It makes you want to stay in bed all day - apparently the kids didn't have the same idea!! Oh well! So Kent went to work on the hoopde (little car he drives to work) and then we all went up to my Mum & Dad's for a BBQ. We had some delicious food and fun visiting everyone.
Tuesday we hung out at home, jumped on the tramp and had fun being together.
I decided while Kent was at work that i would start to tackle our yard. I got the front mowed & Weed whacked (I didn't get the flower bed weeded) and i got half of the back done and then i made Kent finish when he got home. The mower kept cutting out on me in the back and i figured the grass was too long, apparently the mower just needed gas - hey i never said i was good at the yard work stuff!!
Wednesday i was planning all day to go to Walmart to do some food shopping but never made it. It was one of those days, kids wake up, eat, cry, get tried, want to go back to sleep, wake up again, eat, cry etc etc same old , same old!! Some days bed time never comes soon enough.
On Thursday evening we went to Sam's (Kent's little sister) dance recital. It was the Wizard of Oz and was very cute. Way to go Sam - you did great!!! We took her a rose and Jaxon was so excited to give it to her. When she was on stage he just started waving saying YEAH SAM!! He sure does love his Aunt!!
Jax & Aunt Sam Sam you did a GREAT job!
Jaxon wanted a picture taken by himself, and he just got down into this pose - so cute!!
Millie stayed with Grandma Krupa, since it started at her bed time and i didn't want to spend all my time out in the hall. She was fast asleep when we got back to pick her up. Thanks Grandma K for all you do for us.
Friday i had to work. After we went up to my sisters to switch cars. Her family went to California on Saturday for vacation (Not fair) so she borrowed my van so they had more room. I get to drive her cute little car for the week.
Saturday i had to work again. Jaxon went to Brayden Pay's birthday party - Thanks to Brayden for inviting him. It was his 9th birthday and Jaxon loves to play with him. Jaxon is always going over and ringing their doorbell asking if he can play and Brayden is always so nice and plays with him. It is not often that a nine year old takes the time to play with a 3 year old!!! So thanks again you made Jaxi's day. When i got home i weeded the flower bed in front - in part because we received a notice from the HOA saying we needed to weed and cultivate our flower beds. I was feeling bad about getting the notice, until i heard a few more people had got them also -I felt a bit better knowing i wasn't the only one who didn't have a "PERFECT" yard! So thanks to everyone out there who has weeds, dandelions etc!!
Kent worked all weekend on a side job - fixing 2 semi trucks. He is always working hard, unfortunately they took longer than expected and he ended up having to finish up today! I took both kids to church by myself. I wonder why i do that- it seems more work than it is worth sometimes, but i was very glad i went today. Brother Parker gave a really good lesson in Sunday School and Sister Maxwell gave a wonderful lesson in R/S. Jaxon also had fun in his class - even though he cries every week when i take him, he still ends up having fun. He has 2 great teachers.
This evening we went for a yummy dinner at my Mum & Dad's and then we went to play baseball with Kent's family. It was really fun. Jaxon especially loved it and was plum tuckered out when we got home!!!
So tired after playing baseball.

BBQ & Baseball

Kent with his little princessSam, Brian & Jax enjoying yummy food
Uncle Gayle, Uncle Greg and Avery
Kent's family decided to have a get together for Memorial day on Sunday. We went over to Rotary park in AF to have a BBQ and play some baseball. We had lots of fun being together as one HUGE family. I remember when i first started dating Kent, every Sunday evening in the summer, his whole family would get together and play baseball. It was so much fun and Kent and i have talked a few times about how we miss doing that. So tonight when everyone was getting ready to go home, we decided that we would start that tradition over again.....so next week 7pm we will meet up and play ball. I love those kind of traditions, just getting together, laughing, visiting and having a good time. I couldn't help but think a little bit of Grandma Keele tonight, as her whole family was together having fun.....She was such a great lady and is truly missed..... especially on days like today!
Millie having fun watching everyone play ballGrandpa running to third base - too bad he got out!!Playing ball

A Day Out With THOMAS

On Saturday, we went to Heber and rode on Thomas the Tank Engine. We hadn't told Jaxon ahead of time because he would have just kept asking when we were going, so when we got close we told him we were going to ride on Thomas and he just beamed from ear to ear. We went with Grandma Krupa, Josh, Mckenna, Aunt Sarah, Madi & Lauren.
Grandma, Josh & JaxMillie enjoyed the ride Josh & Jax holding their Jr Engineer Certificate Lauren was excited for the ride
The kids really liked the train ride - although us adults thought it wasn't really worth the money! Definately not long enough for the price we paid!! After the train ride, we looked around.......there was a little petting zoo, story telling & movies, you could meet the Conductor, play with train sets and of course a gift shop.
Jax, Lala, Madi, Mckenna & JoshJax at the petting zoo
When we were done, we went to eat lunch at Dairy Keen - Home of the train burger! It is good food but it is always so busy!! On our way home we all stopped at Walmart to get a little treat (we decided it would cost less than buying a toy at the train ride) Jaxon had fallen asleep in the car, so i ran in with everyone else and picked him up a new train - Percy & a little portable train set. It was a fun day, if Jax has his way i am sure we will go back next time Thomas comes to town!!

End of Baseball

Thursday was the last day of Jaxon's Itty Bitty Baseball. He was really sad that it was over and keeps telling me he still has 2 classes left!! He has had such a good time and was actually pretty good. On the last day of class they played a couple games of baseball - Jaxon even got a Home Run!!! GO JAXON!!! They got to play with the big parachute - pretty funny to watch so many kids try and fit under it. Jaxon really loved his coach - she was so good to take time with all the kids and tell them how great they were. At the end he got a balloon, a sucker and a MVP certificate, we also got his pictures back - they didn't turn out to bad! Jaxon you did such a great job! GO BOSTON RED SOX!!

This is the Parachute - all the kids would hold on the sides & pull it up in the air & then get under it - Jax thought this was great fun!

Jax with his team - they were going around saying something nice about everyone on their team

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

Today is our 6th wedding anniversary! I can't believe it has been that long already!! I just wanted to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KENT. You are my best friend and i am so grateful that we have had six great years, have 2 beautiful children, and so many great memories. I look forward to growing old with you!! Thanks for always working so hard, and doing all that you do for me and the kids. We celebrated last night by going to a movie (rare occasion for us) we saw Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull. We both thought that it was good. Then we went to Tepanyaki for a delicious meal - YUMMY! We somehow ended up at Walmart and we bought the box set of Indiana Jones (our anniversary gift to each other - we had decided no gifts this year, but after watching the new movie, we were in the mood to watch all the others - exciting i know!) It was nice to have an evening out alone with my hubby!! I LOVE YOU!!

Baseball

Jaxon is really enjoying his Itty Bitty Baseball. They have been practicing catching, throwing, running the bases etc. On Thursday they did play a little game, Jax thought that it was AWESOME. He will be so sad when it is over....only a week left!!
Pitching the ball to the blow-up catcher - this was one of Jaxon's favorite things to do. He has quite the little arm!!

Waiting his turn - isn't he so cute!!

Gardner Village

Jaxon & Ryder
Last Wednesday we went to Gardner Village with my friend Leann and her little boy, Ryder. It was fun to walk around all the little shops and see the cute things for sale. We stopped by the river and fed the Ducks some pretzels - it was the closest thing to bread that we had. Jaxon kept yelling "come here chicken" - he didn't understand that they were ducks not chickens....i thought that it was so cute.
Feeding the ducks - or chickens!!!
Millie was such a good girl (as usual) and took a nap while the boys had fun watching the ducks & fish
We ate lunch at Archibald's and then headed over to take a pony ride.
I thought that Jax would pick the biggest horse there, but instead he picked the short, fat one. I think Jaxon was actually taller than his horse, but he thought "Charlie" was great. Ryder also did a great job! Thanks for a fun day Leann - we definitely need to do stuff more often!!
