Millie Louise

Millie Lousie Drake - 11 Months old.
Aka: Mills, Milster, Milikins, Millie-moo, Moo Moo, Baby doll, Princess, Sis.

It has been a while since i have updated, so i thought i would just do a little entry about each of the kids, since there have been a few changes around here lately......
Millie finally got some teeth!! Yeah she is almost a year old....about time. We were out with my friend about a week and a half ago and i was feeding Millie some icing from a cupcake with my finger, i felt something sharp on my finger.... I was so excited!! She finally got a tooth! I fed her some more icing and was feeling around on the top and discovered another tooth....then another.....and another....4 TEETH!! I had checked a few days earlier and she didn't have any teeth, then all of a sudden 4, no wonder she had been grumpy that week. Since then 2 more have poked through - so now we are at 6 teeth. I have tried to snap a couple of pictures of them but Millie refuses to let me take a picture. She looks so cute when she smiles and you see her pearly whites!!
She has also started walking...kind of. She will walk around with her little push toys. All she can do right now is walk in a straight line. She can stand on her own and has taken a couple of steps without holding on to anything.....NO!! my baby can't almost be one. This last year has flown by, and Millie still seems so little to every other kid around her same age.
Crusing around.....crawling is still faster!

Millie's new favorite hobby is climbing up in the carseat. Last night Kent was at his mom's house and said "Ok Mills, should we go home?" She crawled over and got in her carseat and sat there waiting for Kent to buckle her in - how CUTE!!!

Millie loves hanging out in Jaxon's booster seat!

Millie is recovering from Croup, which she came down with last week. I felt so bad and she seemed so helpless as she would sit and "Bark" all night long, she loved to just be snuggled and loved. Millie we are so glad you are on the mend..We love you!!

A trip to the park.

Today we went to lunch with my friend LeAnn and her cute little boy, Ryder. After we stopped at the Children's Adventure Park in Pleasant Grove and let the kids play. Jax and Ryder had a great time swinging, sliding and running around...Millie even enjoyed herself. It is always nice to get together with a good friend to chat and laugh about anything and everything.

Jaxon swinging so high

Millie liked the swing, especially when she was in with Jax

What a cutie!

Ryder enjoyed swinging

Ryder & Jax...are so strong!

Nice smiles guys!!

Ryder is so cute!!

Jaxon had so much fun playing with Ryder, he is already asking when we can go again.

Binky Update...

It has been over a week since Jax gave up the Binky, and we survived! He asked for his Binky for the first 2 nights and since then he has never asked for it again! Yeah!!! I have only caught him once taking a sneaky suck on Millie's Binky and that was the day after he cut his up. We have noticed that Jax has become VERY loud, he is always jabbering on about something....it is surprising now to realize how much he did use it. Jaxon you are doing GREAT! Keep up the good work buddy!!

Goodbye Binky........Hello Bike

We asked Jaxon what it would take for him to give up his Binky. He told us a new bike, so on Saturday we went to Walmart to look at the bikes. He picked out the one that he really wanted, and when we left the store we told him that when he was ready to not have a Binky anymore then he could get the bike. On Sunday, he decided that he was going to throw his Binky's away!!! Yeah!! (Don't worry - he is almost 4!) So we decided to cut up the Binky's - no going back. He has done really well. He cried a little last night, so we got on the Internet and he was able to look at the bike he picked and it calmed him down. We were supposed to leave for Lake Powell today (we ended up not being able to leave till tomorrow) so we told him when we got home the new bike would be waiting for him. Well, since we didn't leave he was sure he was getting his bike TODAY!! He cried for his Binky a few times and i would just tell him "you don't have a Binky anymore because you are getting a new bike" he kept saying "then i want my bike"......i really couldn't argue with him on that, so we went to pick up his bike....he was soooo excited!!
GOING...

GOING...

GONE!!

Realizing he just cut up his most prized Possession!!

Picking up his new "HOT WHEELS" bike!

We went up to Grandma's to show her the new bike

Such a big boy!!

Doing tricks!!

Jaxon, you rode your bike so much! You kept going across the grass, up the sidewalk, back to Grandma's driveway! You are AWESOME at riding your new bike.

I couldn't help posting this cute picture of Millie, she liked watching Jax ride his new bike!

We went to Barbacoa for a yummy lunch to celebrate the big step!

Jaxon, we are so proud of you for giving up your Binky, we know that was really hard for you - We love you so much big guy!!

Yummy!!

Millie has decided that she really doesn't like baby food anyway! She wants to eat what everyone else is eating......Last night Kent's family came over for dinner (Lasagna) and so i made her up a little plate. She wanted to feed herself, so i let her have at it!!
She really enjoyed it, as you can tell.......

Millie, you looked so cute feeding yourself. You are getting so big......we love you!

Pioneer Day

We had a pretty fun day today. Jaxon went swimming with Grandma Drake, his uncles & aunt, and all his cousins, Millie stayed home with Grandpa Drake and Kent and I went to see Batman: The Dark Knight. I actually liked it, Kent thought it was okay but he could have survived without seeing it. Then we went over to Aunt Joys and had a BBQ - it was very tasty and we ended the evening with some fireworks.

Everyone waiting for the FIREWORKS - yeah!!

Jaxon was really excited for the "show" to start

Millie & me.....Mills liked watching the fireworks.

This firework was called Rock -a- Baby - it kind of rolled around as it went off. It was pretty cool!

Kent and Sherman (his other wife!!) messing around

Not sure why Millie's hand is down my shirt!?!?!

Poor little Millie cut her finger just before we were heading home. Kent was holding a can of pop and Millie reached for it, and her finger just caught the can as Kent was trying to move it out of her way! It was bleeding pretty good - she hardly even cried but i felt so bad for her.

On the ride home she pulled off her band aid and got blood all over herself again....in her hair, in her ear, on her legs, on her clothes & car seat.....so sad!!
