Catch up #2

Here are some more fun things we did this summer:

Cousin's Came to play

We invited all the cousins to come over to a little water party this summer. We set up the paddling pool, and the big water slide. we ate lunch together and hung out for the afternoon. Jaxon and Millie both love their cousins so much!!

Salem Ponds

We went down to Salem Pond one day with Kent's side of the family. We ate lunch and the kids swam in the water and had a blast. The adults played Hollywood and enjoyed ourself under the cool of a big tree.

Millie taking a little dip in the water - it didn't last very long!

Millie decided she prefered just hanging out on the swings

Lagoon
We went up to Lagoon the Monday before school started. It was so busy, but all the kids had lot's of fun and didn't want the day to end.

Millie on the Whale

Boat ride - this was after they just got in trouble by the operator of the ride - millie got mad at jaxon for ringing the bell - so she attempted to bite him. So they got in a little trouble and were told if they couldn't be nice they had to get off the ride. Millie was sulking the rest of the ride!!

What a fun way to end the summer!!

Ladies LOVE Country Boys!

In August i went to the TRACE ADKINS concert (my FAVOURITE country singer). I went with Janeal (my mother-in-law) Rachel (sister-in law), Aunt Joy, Amanda, Brenda, & Tya (cousins)
We went to Chili's to eat first, and then headed up to the show.
Joy, Brenda & Tya
Amanda, Me & Janeal
Amanda & Me - ready for TRACE to start - Yipee!!!
We had GREAT seats!!
TRACE was so awesome - i love his songs, his deep voice - oh and the way he moves isn't bad either!! Toby Keith

TRACE came back on at the end to sing with Toby!
Unfortunately, at the beginning of the concert just as TRACE was coming on stage, Janeal got a phone call saying that her brother (who was in the Hospital)had taken a turn for the worst. If they wanted to say goodbye they needed to go then. Janeal's other sister was at the concert with her family - in the general admission. They didn't answer their phones, so we had to go on a search to find them. We found them really quickly considering how many people were there. Some of us did stay at the concert - because Gail was in the ICU and we didn't think they would let us in. Gail didn't pass away that night - he hung on until Monday morning. We all miss him a lot!!

Catch-up #1

Here are a few things we have been up to over the summer:

T-BALL
JAXON did T-ball and loved every minute of it. He was so great and loved it when he would hit the ball out of the "field". He is a good batter and also is good at catching. When he gets older he want to be a catcher - unfortunately they don't have them in T-ball :)
Watching his other team mates batting

Swing batter batter swing....

You're up next bud!

What a cute little guy!! - We love you!!

BEN

My cute little brother -BEN- spent most of July and August in the hospital - complications with his Crones disease. They wanted to keep him in to try and get him healthy enough for surgery. They found that he had a HUGE abscess and he had to have a drain put in his side - it was so gross to look at. A lot of the time he was on a really restricted diet. I felt so bad for him - sitting in his hospital room day in and day out. Jodie (his girlfriend) was so good and stayed with him everyday and slept over 99% of the time.
Finally in August they did surgery on him - they took 6 inches from his intestines, removed a hernia that he had from all the throwing up so much over the last year or two, and they cleaned up his abscess. Luckily he didn't have to have a "bag"

Trying to make the most of his time in the hospital
Ben we are so happy you are finally getting back on your feet!

Lake Powell

We went down to the condo at Lake Powell a couple of times this summer. We all had so much fun. The 2nd time we went, it was just all the girls with the kids until the last few days when Jodie's parents and sister came down to join the party. We have so much fun, even if we are hanging out, swimming at the pool, or watching movies together!
I LOVE it down there - it is so BeAuTiFuL!!

Millie LOVED jumping in - and loved floating around with her arm bands - she was cracking us up!

Mckenna, Josh & Jaxon - hanging out & having a blast in the pool

Jax & Jacob(below) taking a rest from all the swimming

Jumping off the boat

Best Buds!

Me - wakeboarding

Jodie, Lauren & Josh on the tube (Jaxon would NOT get on after our first trip down there when the tube stated going under with Kent, Jax and me on it)

I just had to include this picture of Millie - she had just woken up - CRAZY hair!!!

Finally found!

This is just a little reminder of what can happen when you let your 2 year old play with your wedding rings. They can fall down the side of the couch and disappear!! After days of trying to retrieve them - Kent took it to the next level and started taking the couch apart. It only took over an hour, a stab to my knee, and a stab to Kent's hand with a screw driver (seriously - you would think a mechanic would know how to handle a screwdriver - he he), and sticking our heads inside the couch to have a look and we FINALLY found them!!

But how can you be mad when you look at her cute little face?

Little Miss Millie is 2!!!

Back in September our cute little Millie turned 2.
She is so cute and somedays i find myself thinking i really could pinch her cheeks off!! It is so fun to watch her play now - she really can entertain herself pretty well (destroying the house as she goes .....but that's OK)
I felt so bad when i took her into 2 year Dr's appointment. As she was screaming getting all her shots - she was looking at my like "WHY are you letting them do this to me?" (sometime i laugh at things that really are not funny - like your crying child getting shots?!? I am sure the nurses thought i was GREAT mum) Anyway, she is growing well, tall and skinny - lucky girl - wonder where she got that from - certainly not me:)
Millie loves asking me where dad is, or where lala (my niece)is. I think her goal everyday is to ask a few more times than the day before. But when i tell her "dad's at work" or "lala is at school" she always says "OH" - like, oh i remember that you told me that the last 50 times i asked you. Oh, how silly she is!!
She LoVeS Jaxon soooo much, she is his little shadow and loves to play with him, if she can't see him she will always say "where ax (jax) mom?".
Sometimes the house goes quiet and i go looking to see what mischief they have got into, and i will peek into Jaxon's room and there they will be, laying next to each other on the bed having a conversation about nothing, or they will be reading books together or they will have got the portable DVD player out and they will be snuggled up together watching a movie.
Millie loves shoes and getting dressed, i find her multiple times a day trying to get other clothes on top of the ones she already has on.
She loves looking for Horses when we are driving in the car. She can be crying and screaming at the top of her lungs and i will say "can you see any horses?" and she will stop in 2 seconds flat. she knows where they are (the regulars that we see) even when it is dark outside she will say "horsie" right when we drive by them - what a little smartie pants!!
She gives the best hugs and kisses and cracks me up because if she goes to give you a kiss and doesn't get you right on the lips, she comes right back to make sure she gives you a proper one.
She LOVES her baby dolls and loves to push them in her baby stroller.
She also loves to ride her cute little trike she got for her birthday. Jaxon and her love to drive the trikes inside the house and she happily follows him around trying to fix them - just like him, turning them upside down to check the tires.
She loves to talk on the phone and cry's every time i don't let her.
She loves going to bed in her crib with "illow" (pillow) and of course her "wa wa" (blanket)
She love to give the thumbs up sign.
She loves to take any hair clips and elastics i put in her hair - especially when she is tired or we are driving in the car!
As part of her birthday present from Kent's mom and dad, we got her pictures taken - and they turned out great - even though she was throwing a fit the WHOLE ENTIRE TIME. No joke, when we left i was thinking "there is no way that they turned out" but they turned out so cute:

We can't believe how big you are getting Millie. We love to see you grow and change each day. You make us all so happy and we LOVE you so much xoxo!!
