Bowling

We went bowling over at the new Jack & Jills in Lehi with our friends Leann, Ryder & Bridger. The kids had been wanting to go for a while and they had lots of fun!
Millie was such a big girl and insisted on doing it all by herself, even carrying the ball.

Jax though it was so fun and keeps asking to go back!

Help me!

How do i get it so that it shows on the side when people have updated their blog??? It drives me nuts that i can't just see it!

Baby Caleb

In March Kent's sister, Rachel, had her first baby. We were all so excited - the kids couldn't wait to go see him in the hospital. This is their first cousin on Kent's side of the family.
The kids love him so much and love to take turns pretending to be baby Caleb! He is now 6 months old and still as cute as ever. Kent loves to call him Chunky Monkey - but he is the only one that is allowed to call him that - everyone else gets in trouble!! Great job Rachel - we LOVE Caleb!

Swim Lessons

We decided that this summer we would put Jaxon in Swim lessons at the legacy center. He took and passed three levels - Preschool level 1,2&3. He did really well and we saw some big improvements at the end of the summer. He look forward to going Almost everyday! Millie really wanted to go, but i really didn't feel like doing the mom & me class with a big old prego belly, so next year she will get to go!
Showing us some tricks in the water ;)

CRASH!!

At the beginning of summer, Jax really wanted to ride his dirt bike - so i went out into the backyard to let him ride around for a little bit - like we have done a thousand times before! He is a good little rider and i didn't think anything of it. I was sat on the stairs watching him go round and round. Millie started crying and needed some help on the tramp, so i got up to go help her. Jax must have looked over to see where i was going, just as he was supposed to turn.....all of a sudden i heard the loudest crash and saw all this smoke coming from the window well - he drove straight into the window well, the bike was halfway through the window and i have never been so scared in all my life. I ran over and up he jumped, screaming so loud - i didn't want to look in case he was cut open in a major way, but luckily he only had a little scrap on his knee!! He was so lucky! Once we got him changed and he calmed down - he was ok, but he still wont ride his bike in the back yard -he always wants to go to the big field behind our house, but i can't blame him! I am so glad that he always wears his helmet, gloves, goggles etc - i definitely think that protected him!
After we got the bike out of the window...

Making sure the bike still worked!

KiNdErGaRtEn!!

Jax was so excited to get to school - he didn't really want me to take his picture!

Jaxon has been so excited to go to Kindergarten! All summer long he would ask me "how much longer till i can go to school?" Because he was so excited, it made the first day of school alot easier on ME!! He was so excited - how could i be sad? I was excited for him and the new little chapter in his life. He is one of the older ones in his class, since he will turn 6 in October!

He wanted pancakes and eggs for breakfast!

The night before, we picked out his outfit, got his backpack ready, got him showered and he got a Fathers blessing from Kent - which really made me feel better!
He got up right when i told him in the morning and has done everyday since! We had a special dinner that evening to CELEBRATE his first day.

Waiting for class to begin!

Recess is definitely his favorite part of the day, and he loves to get to school a little early so he can play. He is so excited for when he can bring home his reading books and can't wait to do some homework. He is going to make a great student! - we are so proud of you bud!!!

Millie turns 3!

Birthday Girl!

Our little Millie turned 3 on September 10th. Seriously where has the time gone?? It just seems like yesterday i was holding her in my arms for the first time. She is so much fun to have around - even though she has been going through the TERRIBLE TWO's - hopefully that will pass now she is three!!
We got rid of her binki 2 weeks before her birthday - it really wasn't planned, i just couldn't find any...so we thought now is as good a time as any. For the most part she really has done well! She still cries for it when she gets tired or hurt, but has also taken to sucking her thumb for comfort - i am NOT happy about this, so i had to buy the Hot nail polish to put on her nails.....i just need to remember to put it on everyday. Sometimes she will walk up to me and say "my thumbs not hot mom" and walk away with her thumb in her mouth. I try not to make a big deal about it - hopefully it is just a little phase :)
She loves Jaxon and gets sad when he is at Kindergarten - "let's go get my Jaxon" is what she says everyday about 11am.
All she wanted for her birthday was a purple princess bike - after a little tracking down we found one and can bearly get her off it!!

Playing pass the parcel
Opening Presents - she was so funny.. i would tell her who the present was from, she would open it and then take it and give it back to them

If anyone would tell her "Happy Birthday" she would say back to them "Happy Birthday!" - It was so cute!! Purple princess bike = one happy little girl!!

Happy Birthday Millie - we love you!!

It's about time!!

Well, almost having a years break is long enough! I really need to do some major catch up - this is supposed to be my journal after all. Since a new baby will be joining the family in about 5 weeks i figure i better do it now- since i wont have time after!!
So be prepared to see a sneek peak at our last year!
I can bearly even remember how to do this........but here goes....
